COVID19 Impact and Operating Procedures

 

 

 

Our vehicles are disinfected with a high-grade EPA-registered disinfectant cleaner, which is both highly effective against a wide variety of bacteria and viruses, including coronaviruses, and safe for passengers and drivers.

 

 

Our employees have been trained on the implementation of CDC guidance to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID19). This includes frequent vehicle sanitation, use of face masks/face coverings, hand washing for at least 20 seconds, and use of hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol when water and soap are not available. 

 

 

What Ground Shuttle is doing to provide a safe environment to its passengers and employees: 

 

  • All our drivers are required to wear face masks.
  • We have asked our employees to self screen by monitoring their temperature, being aware of COVID19 symptoms (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html) and reporting to their supervisor if they are not feeling well or have been exposed to a possible or confirmed case of COVID19.
  • We have limited the number of passengers on our vehicles by blocking certain seats (including the passenger seat next to the driver).
  • Even though our vehicles have always been cleaned after a shift, we are now requiring they are cleaned with Vital-Oxide which has been approved by the EPA for use against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID 19). This includes sanitizing interior surfaces as well as exterior handles.
  • There is a bottle of antibacterial solution on each vehicle. Please let the driver know if you need to use it.
  • Ground Shuttle will work closely with the Brazos Valley Health Department if it needs to identify or contact any passenger or employee who may have been exposed to COVID-19. Ground Shuttle will strictly follow privacy laws.

 

 

What we ask from our passengers: 

 

  • Passengers will not be allowed to sit in the front passenger seat next to the driver.
  • Please refrain from opening or closing vehicle doors, including the ones for the cargo area to minimize points of contact.
  • Please take care of your own luggage (loading/unloading). If help is needed, let the driver know but do not expect him/her to go out of their way to help you as they have been instructed not to do so unless asked.
  • Passengers over the age of two are required to wear face masks/coverings (covering your nose and mouth) in order to board and while on the vehicle.
  • Face shields can be used in addition to a face mask but not in lieu of one.
  • Face masks with breathing valves do not qualify as an allowable face covering on our vehicles.
  • No exceptions will be made to our mask requirement.
  • Passengers are expected to self-screen. Ground Shuttle employees are not medical professionals and do not screen passengers before boarding. Do not travel with us if you are sick, have been experiencing any of COVID-19 symptoms (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html), have been exposed to COVID-19 or are waiting for COVID-19 test results.
